Kit Carson’s M16® knife design has been a popular CRKT series for years. And the Zytel® version has built the largest user base of all. These knives are built for function, not fad. And they are exceptional values.

They use the very successful InterFrame construction, tough, textured Zytel® scales over a 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame. For added rigidity, these knives feature solid Zytel back spacers. The handle is assembled with superior offset Torx® fasteners. The handle is exceptionally rigid and fills the hand perfectly.

Tough AUS 4 high-carbon stainless steel is used for the blades to give greater everyday utility, and offer both Razor-Sharp and Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edges.

These knives feature the Carson Flipper, which is not only an aid to opening the blade, especially when wearing gloves, but acts as a blade guard when the blade is open.

The hefty M16®-04Z and M16®-14Z Big Dogs offer large dual grind Tanto-style blades. These are full-size working knives suited to large hands and heavy-duty tasks.

CRKT has also incorporated the patented AutoLAWKS™ automatic knife safety into all models, which converts the M16® Zytel® series into virtual fixed blades when their blades are open and locked.

All styles have Teflon® bearings and a removable Teflon®-plated stainless steel clothing/gear clip.
